Minutes
● Minutes of the meeting held on 11 September were read and signed as true and correct.
National Trust
● Ian sent his apologies and emailed an update on NT Issues raised at the last meeting.
● Work to improve existing footpaths & bridge to make them accessible for all is ongoing. Nothing further to report at this stage.
● The Ash Dieback is ongoing.
● A colleague has spoken to the manager of The Izaak Walton Hotel about putting up a sign at the end of the drive. This is hotel land and not NT. We have left it to the hotel to decide whether to progress or not.
● We are keeping an eye on moles in the park and have contractors in this month (January) to remove those near the churchyard.
Improving Village Environment
● There is still money in this year’s budget for flowers and bushes.
Highways
● Cllr G Heath was invited to the meeting but could not attend, will attend our next meeting in March
● C Sellers has spoken with Cllr G Heath regarding the lines and speed restrictions, and this may take some time as work needs to be done first before implementing the lines & speed restrictions.
● C sellers reported the Blore crossroad sign and sandstone post in November and still awaiting to hear from Highways
● PCSO Becky Gorman was invited to the meeting but could not attend, clerk sent a list of dates and Becky will attend when she can shifts permitting and if we have any concerns to contact her.
Website
● The new council website is www.ilamparishcouncil.co.uk . This is only for displaying agendas, minutes, and yearly accounts.
Finance
● Balance in account: £1696.57p
● Budget will be discussed, and information brought from RFO C Hibbert -Foy at next meeting.
● Precept was discussed and agreed to be set at £800.00p for 2022/23
AOB
● Pads for Ilam Defibrillator need to be purchased and ready for replacing existing pads in March 2022. L Oulsnam to source and purchase and liase with First Responders.
● Section 106 agreement House for sale in Wetton was shown to the councillors by request of the seller and Clerk to display poster in local community notice board for 3 months.
● Villagers are experiencing issues with their phone lines cutting off frequently. This will be investigated and seek advice from local councillor /MP.
● Planning application was discussed and reviewed by councillors.
● R wain enquired about Platinum Jubilee plans and celebrations. To be discussed at next meeting.
