Minutes

     Minutes of the meeting held on 15 March 2022 were read and signed as true and correct.

National Trust

     Easter was busy and ran smoothly with little impact on the village and car parking.

     Greenspace dark skies event was successful.

     Next month we are looking at ash dieback and can assess what further work is required in the park.

     Planning permission for welcome hut was granted and will be in the carpark nr the hall.

     Looking at developing some natural play activities at the oaks.

     L Oulsnam asked about the sign leading to the tearooms/toilets on the white gate to the church path -why the church is not also signed on the sign for visitors.

 

Improving Village Environment

     There is still money in this year’s budget for flowers and bushes.

     Vera & Carolyn to buy bulbs / plants.

     Keith and Richard to sort the planter and install in village with help from Amy who will water the planter.

     The Parish Council will be Fundraising for the church path. We now have a bank account for the Church Path Fund so will start shortly to raise funds. Letters will be sent out shortly regarding the church path.

 

Highways

     C Sellers has spoken with Cllr G Heath regarding the lines and speed restrictions, and this may take some time as work needs to be done first before implementing the lines & speed restrictions. The work may take some time but is on the list of works.

     Potholes mended at Blore.

     Drains still blocked at Lower Damgate & Plantation Garage. The school drains have been cleared.

Website

     The new council website is www.ilamparishcouncil.co.uk . This is only for displaying agendas, minutes, and yearly accounts.

Finance

     Balance in account: £1386.14p

     Budget was discussed, and information brought from RFO C Hibbert -Foy.

AOB

      Platinum Jubilee – A weeping willow Tree has been planted for the Queens Platinum Jubilee along with a plaque that supports The Royal British Legion industries and The Queens Green Canopy Project. RBLI provides employment to disadvantaged veterans and those with disabilities and every penny of the purchase goes to supporting veterans, their families, and people with disabilities.
