Minutes

    •        Minutes of the meeting held on 20 September 2022 were read and signed as true and correct.

National Trust

· Dovedale carpark resurfacing is complete and visitor surveys are being undertaken for Dovedale .

· Ash Die back work is ongoing in the park. Italian Gardens and zigzags are having work done as part of a garden project.

· The bridge / Rope bridge is being finalised This winter. improvement of foot paths and wheelchair friendly pathsbeing funded by grants and National Park .The council has asked for plans of the bridge to be submitted. at the last meeting . NT apologised for this taking a long time and this will hopefully be completed by spring next year.

· Drainage from croft and fishpond – Drain in croft too small needs a bigger culvert. Clerk to send letter to highways.  This has been logged and letter to follow as instructed by NT Rural Surveyor.

·A project manager  has been appointed to develop visitor experience in ilam/ Dovedale and will start next year .

· Christmas NT Events will be announced by NT .

Improving Village Environment

• R Wain has bought bulbs for the village to be planted for springtime.

• Remembrance poppies  , Beautiful handmade crochet poppies ,which have been made by Janice

(A Pass Mother) and RBLI Tommy soldier signs will be displayed in the village . Royal British Legion Industries is a charity that the veterans make all products and the money goes to support veterans and the charity

Highways

• Sign @ Lodge Lane reported again on 19.10.22 A Highways Officer has attended the location that you reported and completed a risk assessment. a highways officer has assessed the site and arranged a non - urgent work instruction and will be done when resources become available .

• Clerk & C Sellers to log blocked drains / potholes in the village  & Damgate  on highways website .

Finance

    •        Balance in account: £1995.51p

AOB

    •        Planning application for Church Lodge has been passed for installation of new outside boiler .

    •        Kelly Whelan  ,  The new Manager at YHA Ilam Hall joined the meeting and shared plans for The Youth Hostel .
