Minutes

Minutes of the meeting held on 11 May 2021 were read and signed as true and correct. 

Election of Chairman & Vice-Chairman

● C Sellers was nominated and seconded as Chair and elected unopposed.

● L Oulsnam was nominated and seconded as Vice-Chair and elected unopposed.

Chairman’s Report

● C Sellers reported that progress during the year had been successful & progress had been made in planting new bushes and flowers around the village and further parking restrictions had been agreed with the County Council. We have planted a weeping willow tree in the village as part of the Queens Green Canopy & a plaque from The Royal British Legion for The Queens Platinum Jubilee.

● She thanked the Councillors, the Clerk and District Councillor Wain for all their efforts and dedication to duty.

● The Parish Council would like to Thank the following people for their work and dedication to the village.

● Mr & Mrs John & Brenda Anderson for the beautiful flowers and maintaining the monument

● Mr Bob Sellers for mowing the village & for all his hard work over the years mowing the church yard. He has recently retired from mowing the churchyard and we are all very grateful for his hard work.

● Miss Ellen Clewes for assisting The Parish Council as treasurer of the Ilam Church Path fund

● The First Responders for their support and for checking the Defibrillator throughout the year.

Financial Report

● The RFO, C Hibbert- Foy gave details of expenditure during the financial year 2021/22

● Accounts for the year were adopted and the following were signed by the Chairperson / RFO and Clerk

● Annual Governance Statement

● Accounting Statements

● The RFO gave details of the budget for the coming year, which was approved by the Council and signed by the Chairperson / RFO and Clerk.
