to introduce himself.
Programming
See
separate page for plans up to and including Easter. Wheel Orchard
will not be used as overflow parking at Easter.
Tree
removal
Still
awaiting return of the faculty permission from Diocese around
removal of tree on leased land. Unlikely that removal will take
place this spring now due to delay in permissions, work on
accessible paths leading up to bird nesting season and cut off for
tree removal but this may change depending on path work completion
date, contractor availability and when permission is granted.
Paths
Work
on Phase 1 of the new accessible paths at Ilam has now started with
completion estimated to take 10-12 weeks.
Resurfacing of the driveway from the village to the church is due to start on 25th March. The contractor will plane the existing surface to a solid canvas. They will then lay and compact type one to level the road before resurfacing min depth of 60mm using 20mm binder course tarmac concrete. The width will remain the same, which is a requirement of the SSSI consent. Should be completed by 28th March – however, if work overruns it will be paused over the 4 days of the Easter weekend when we expect the site to be extremely busy.
Drains
C Sellers enquired about the drain that is getting blocked opposite the croft. These needs investigating where the water is coming from. NT to investigate and report to local authority and CS and LO to report also.
Notice Board
Work is being undertaken to the wrought iron railings by the village notice board. NT have kindly offered to store and repair the notice board and relocate to a different area which will be wider once the railings are mended.
