Minutes of the meeting held on 09 May 2023 were read and signed as true and correct.
Election of Chairman & Vice-Chairman
C Sellers was nominated and seconded as Chair and elected unopposed.
L Oulsnam was nominated and seconded as Vice-Chair and elected unopposed.
Chairman’s Report
C Sellers reported that progress during the year had been successful & progress had been made in planting new bushes and flowers around the village. The poppy bench was purchased last year and looks lovely by the river. Progress has been made with Highways and the drains cleared and we will continue to push for the yellow lines to be implemented and potholes to be mended. She thanked the Councillors, the Clerk and District Councillor Edwin Wain and Cllr Gill Heath for all their efforts and dedication to duty.
The Parish Council would like to Thank the following people for their work and dedication to the village.
The National Trust for the new church footpath and to everyone who contributed towards the Ilam Church Path fund which raised £2164.00p towards the cost of the path. We would like to thank Paul Rochfort from Rights of Way Environment and Countryside at Staffordshire County Council for the contribution of £5000.00p towards the church footpath.
Thank you to Mr Bob Sellers for mowing and keeping the village & all his hard work throughout the year to keep the village looking beautiful.
Thank you to everyone who helps with the monument planting and maintaining throughout the year.
Miss Ellen Clewes for assisting with the bank account for the Church footpath which is now called the Ilam Community Fund which will be used to raise money for the church for a kitchen, toilet, and costs towards mowing the churchyard.
Thank you to Ilam school for hosting the meetings throughout the year and for maintaining the defibrillator for village use.
