Minutes

Minutes of the meeting held on 07 May 2024 were read and signed as true and correct.

Election of Chairman & Vice-Chairman

• C Sellers was nominated and seconded as Chair and elected unopposed.

• L Oulsnam was nominated and seconded as Vice-Chair and elected unopposed.

Chairman’s Report

• C Sellers reported that progress during the year had been successful & progress had been made in planting new bushes and flowers around the village. Potholes and highway issues are always ongoing and hopefully the maintenance and patchwork outside the school will be carried out in 2025 and full resurfacing and yellow lines in 2026. The Parish Council will continue to do our best to support the community.

• She thanked the Councillors, the Clerk and RFO C Hibbert-Foy, District Councillor Edwin Wain and Councillor Gill Heath for all their efforts and dedication to duty

• The Parish Council would like to Thank the following people for their work and dedication to the village.

• Paul Watson for his continued support to the council.

• R Wain for always helping with jobs and tasks.

• Thank you to Mr Bob Sellers for mowing the village & all his hard work throughout the years.

• Thank you to everyone who helps with the monument planting and maintaining throughout the year.

• Miss Ellen Clewes for assisting with the bank account for the Ilam Community Fund Previously the Church Path Fund which is in the process of closing due to the bank charges from Lloyds. The small amount which is the account will be given to the church and put towards mowing costs.

• Thank you to Ilam School for hosting the meetings throughout the year and for maintain the defibrillator for the village.

Financial Report

• C Hibbert-Foy gave details of expenditure during the financial year 2024/25

• Accounts for the year were adopted, and the following were signed by the Chairperson / RFO and Clerk

• Annual Governance Statement

• C Hibbert-Foy gave details of the budget for the coming year, which was approved by the Council and signed by the Chairperson / RFO and Clerk.
